NailVenturous - Floam

Hello darlings...
I've got floam!
Yep, Not much needs to be said! Thanks to Nat from No Holos Blog, I can proudly say, this baby is Now mine.

You've seen this many times before, read about it, so I'll spare you the talking and get right to it.
The polish was too sheer and I didn't like it on its own, so I chose to layer 2 coats over Zoya - Zuza!

Result here...

I honestly did not like it alone, and was about to plan a crappy review, lol... then I decided well, the blue in floam looks an awful lot like Zuza, so why don't I try that... So, I did, and I LOVED it.

As you can see, I have a mini bottle, but I think that is enough for me. With the crazies behind trying to get one of this polish, I think I'll be content with my small bottle. I'm more than happy with it. :-)

Then since my striping tapes came in, I did a little something with them... Simple but I like how the Gold compliments floam.

The Striping tapes were hard to work with at first, but thanks to those of you on facebook page, and all the tips you gave me, I learned that the key is to cut long pieces, place it carefully and Cut with a clipper. I was glad to have the Tweezerman Cuticle Nipper for this. It worked so well, and was much better than scissors.

Here's an altered picture just because I thought it looked cool...Lol

Well, I had this on for 24 hours. I wanted to wear it for longer but Mama's got other polishes to wear and review. Lol...
Since I heard that removal is a pain, I used my glitter removal method
I had to do the technique twice to get it all off though.
I took pictures and might make a post about it later.. (keyword is might).. lol...

That's it for now darlings..

Till Later, God bless.

    1. Thanks... Oh shucks! I don't know how much she charges for international shipping.

My friend actually got me this one, so I'm really glad for it. :-)

I'll have to experiment with other bases later on... I will have to use a base every time I wear it cos I wanna preserve this baby. :-D

    1. Hehehe... Yeah, I read so many horrible things about removal, so I just used my glitter removing technique to take it off, and it was a breeze.

  7. I finally was able to get my hands on a bottle a few weeks ago! I painted my nails with every intent to do a review but I peeled the polish off at work! I know it's soooo bad for my nails but I was glad I didn't have to use remover lol.

    1. Lol.. Polish Peeler!!

I do it sometimes to, but I've gotten better. My Color Club Topcoat cements my nails so well and makes peeling hard, so thankfully, I haven't been peeling polish off.

  9. Oh good idea, I didn't even think about layering it over Zuza. They are a really close match! I loved my first time with Floam, but I think it took at least 3 coats to get pretty opaque. And even though I *knew* the glitter was small, when it was actually on my nails it was smaller than I had thought. I definitely like it, but I think I had it pumped up in my head to be the best thing ever it didn't quite live up to my imagination ;)

    1. Thanks.. They are really are a close match. I'm glad I had Zuza to layer it over.

I was at 2 coats and I didn't like it, so I wiped it off and started again with Zuza as base.

Honestly I like the polish, but like you, I had high expectations, and it just didn't meet the expectations. Still pretty nonetheless though.

  11. OMG I think floam looks so awesome but I have heard bad things about the removal process...such a great idea to layer it over Zuza!

Two polishes I want so much =]

  12. It's such a shame that it looks so awesome but is such a pain to work with. I guess I'll stick with the good ol' Floam from my childhood :) Thanks for the post!
